I can't stand mid-week, I'm unable to browse my favourite websites or blogs because I want to avoid reading any news about American Idol. Whereas lucky foks in the US can gorge on the Idol on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, here in the UK we have to wait until Friday evening to see the shows and find out who has been canned. One story that did catch my eye however was a promising job offer from Girls Gone Wild boss, Joe Francis, for our favourite New Jersey chanteuse, Antonella "The Least Slutty Person I Know" Barba.
Here is an except from the press release: "Girls Gone Wild Offers Antonella Barba $250K to Host Video March 7th, New York , NY - Joe Francis and Girls Gone Wild (GGW) have made a public offer to controversial American Idol star, Antonella Barba, to become the newest member of the Girls Gone Wild family. In the deal, Barba is being offered $250,000 to be the newest celebrity host following in the footsteps of Snoop Dogg and former REAL World celebrities, Syrus, Tonya, Cameran and Ace."
I'd never heard of Girls Gone Wild so I looked them up on Wikipedia where the videos are described as a series by the production company Mantra Entertainment, usually involving a camera crew patrolling a party-heavy area frequented by young adults in search of attractive women who agree to "get a little crazy" with them, usually in exchange for a tank top. This involves exposure of breasts and/or buttocks, sometimes further removal of clothing, and sometimes the camera crew following a group of girls back to a hotel or other location and taping them engaging in additional activities of a sexual nature.
That's sounds right up Antonella Barba's alley, wouldn't you agree? At least Antonella will have a job offer once she gets canned, unlike the previously dumped contestants whom we'll thankfully never hear of again. Something tells me Antonella's gonna stick around for a while..
