American Idol Songwriter - vote for the winning song

FInally, finally! I can vote on American Idol. Well, I can vote on the winner's song. I sneakily registered and pretended I was in the US and it worked, so I've been listening to the twenty songs you can choose from. There's pretty slim pickings though, most of the songs sound like some generic power ballad that Jordin Sparks would typically murder. Oh, I so hope it's Blakelicious, Melinda & LaKisha in the final.

My favourite songs are easily I'm Going To Be Me and Send Me On My Way. Well, they're the only songs that didn't make me want to throw up, despite their Up With People bullcrap inspirational titles, they're actually not as awful as you'd think. It's funny, listening to the songs, you get a real sense of how Melinda, LaKisha, Blake and Jordin would sound singing them. I'd also say that since the producers have chosen them, they would indicate a Melinda/LaKisha win. Anyway, get voting people!

So, looking forward to the show this week, which Bee Gees songs do you reckon the Idol kids will sing? I'm gonna get out my divining rod and make some predictions. Um, LaKisha would be great bringing out her inner disco diva and singing You Should Be Dancing, Jordin Sparks could sing Tragedy, Blakelicious maybe could beat box his way through How Deep Is Your Love again, just like he did during Hollywood Week and Melinda Doolittle could give Too Much Heaven a shot, being a Church girl 'n all.
