Ricky Martin Fuego De Noche, Nieve De Día - I've got the original too, but this is the MTV Unplugged acoustic version. Ricky's voice sounds much better these days and the piano arrangement really suits the song.
Backstreet Boys Everybody (Backstreet's Back) - Oh, a good gay boy has to have some Backstreet Boys on his iPod. This was one of my favourites from years ago and it still gets played occasionally at a certain 'mo club in Manchester. AJ was my favourite Backstreet Boy, he was so badass.
4Hero Les Fleurs - This was originally sung by Minnie Ripperton and I first heard it on a TV advert, for Baileys I think. Anyway, it's a cracking song that turns to French half way through and sounds like something out of a hippy rock musical of the seventies.
Bush Letting The Cables Sleep (The N.O.W. Remix) - I'm not into rock music, but this is a stunning chill out remix of the Bush song.
Nick Drake Road - A short song, only two minutes, but a very beautiful one. Very simple, yet very effective. Every so often, people 'discover' Nick Drake. His music has been used in lots of TV adverts. This is my favourite, along with Cello Song.
France Gall Ella, elle l'a - fabulous, uplifting song written by Michel Berger. This one always reminds me of my first summer in France as it was a huge hit at the time. The Ella of the title is Ella Fitzgerald. Sadly, France Gall hasn't performed for years after the deaths of her husband and daughter.
Ilya Bellissimo - One of those tracks that ends up on an advert or chill out compilation. Perfect to put on when you feel like slipping into something more comfortable.
Taylor Dayne Tell It To My Heart - Do you remember this one? It was a huge hit back in the late eighties. Taylor Dayne had this huge voice and she really belted out this number like her life depended on it. I also remember her having this super crazy curly hair jumping out all over the place, like Bernadette Peters, only much worse.
Black Box Everybody, Everybody - It's been a miserable summer so far, so I've been choosing music that will put me into a summery state of mind and this track fits the bill perfectly.
Mark Ronson Stop Me - One of the guys at work put this album on one day and I really liked it. This is my favourite track. I love the blend between The Smiths and The Supremes.
