Milano Beach Soccer team kitted out in Dolce & Gabbana

Those lucky men of Milano's Beach Soccer team have been kitted out by none other than the fabulous Dolce & Gabbana and photographed by Stefano Guindani.

"We have just recently discovered Beach Soccer and we instantly became fans of this sport, which is the summer version of soccer."

One thing - aren't they just playing in vests and speeods? Heck, even I'd manage to throw together a decent kit if that's all it takes. ;o)

Finally, some better quality images are coming through from David Gandy's calendar for Dolce and Gabbana. I've seen the low-res images of the entire calendar and they've already gotten my juices going. You don't get to see any peen, but our David still gets naked and everything. It's all just strategically placed behind a towel or his hands. Oh, I do hope the hi-res images filter through soon, I'm busting with anticipation!

ZOMG! I've just spotted this article in Fashion Week Daily:

"David by Dolce & Gabbana" is the new 2008 photographic calendar featuring model David Gandy photographed by Mariano Vivanco. For this first venture, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana turned to history's most famous David, the one that will be remembered eternally thanks to Michelangelo, as their inspiration for what they call "the absolute icon of the body's perfection and a universal symbol of handsome beauty."

The 28-year-old Essex, England native is currently the face and body of Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue advertising, where he is featured lounging on a boat off a tropical isle clad in a white Speedo. For his take as a pin-up calendar model, the Brit takes it all off to reveal a series of 26 black-and-white images where he is either clad solely in his underwear or simply in the buff. To hear the designers put it, it's "Twelve months of seduction, muscular perfection, and strength, alternated with intense close-ups that capture the magnetic glance of this modern seducer." Glimpses of melancholy, the designers add, recall the "fascination and innate elegance of actors from neorealism: the perfect epitome of the Dolce & Gabbana man."

Dolce & Gabbana has also announced that Gandy will star in the brand's new underwear campaign. He will appear on the packaging of a new line of briefs and T-shirts comprised of four underwear styles, one tank top, and two tees.

As coveted as the calendar is sure to be, it will not be sold to the public. Instead, editors attending the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2008 runway show in Milan this Sunday will receive a copy along with their invitations. The calendar will also be gifted to VIP clients at Dolce & Gabbana stores worldwide.

Bah! I want me one of these calendars. Hopefully some friendly fashion person will scan the calendar and upload hi-res images for the rest of us to admire. In the meantime, here are some small preview images.
